Project: 7 Ways To Wear

Wenn man Gerüchten und verbreitetem Gerede glauben kann, heißt es, dass Blogger ständig unter Konkurrenz stehen und sich gegenseitig nicht wirklich mögen. Das könnte nicht ferner von der Wahrheit sein. Immerhin teilen wir die Liebe zur gleichen Sachen. Es ist immer toll mit anderen Bloggern zu arbeiten; so haben sechs andere Bloggerinnen und ich uns zusammengeschlossen, um euch einmal im Monat unsere Outfits zu zeigen. Unter dem Namen 7 Ways To Wear präsentieren wir euch Looks, die unter einem Motto stehen. Sieben Tage lang seht ihr auf unseren jeweiligen Blogs die persönliche Umsetzung des Mottos. So bekommt ihr Outfits zusehen, die wahrscheinlich völlig unterschiedlich sind, aber ein Item gemeinsam haben. Die Ladies der Riege sind:

Wir sind alle so unterschiedliche Typen, dass garantiert immer die verschiedensten Outfits dabei rauskommen, außerdem kann man sich so tolle Inspirationen holen, wie man ein Kleidungsstück auf die unterschiedlichsten Art und Weisen stylen kann.


EN: If we believe the rumors, all bloggers are in a constant state of competition and rivalry and don't like each other. That could not be further from the truth. We all share the love for the same things. It's always a great exprecience to work with other bloggers, so I started a new project together with six other lovely blogger-ladies. 7 Ways To Wear is going to be a section in which we present our outfits that are following a certain motto. Every day for one week, each of us will post our own interpretation of the given motto. You will get to see looks, that are going to be completely different, but all have an item in common. The ladies on the journey with me are listed above.

Life | The Pretentious Lives of Bloggers

Ein cleanes Zimmer, nur bestehend aus weißen Möbelstücken. Jeden Tag frische Blumen - natürlich immer passend zur Jahreszeit. Das neuste Fashion Coffee-Table Book. Frisch manikürte Nägel mit einem Lack von Chanel. Perfektes Frühstück mit Kaffee aus einer Tasse, auf der ein inspirierender Spruch steht. Das glamouröse Outfit des letzten Events am Wochenende. Die Liste geht weiter, aber ich denke man versteht worauf ich hinaus will: Blogger. Egal ob Instagram, Twitter oder auf dem Blog selbst, die genannten Punkte sind in etwa die Dinge, die auf den Plattformen zu finden sind. Alles ist perfekt; alles glitzert und glänzt. Wir regen uns darüber auf, aber Fakt ist doch: wir lieben es! Das ist es, was wir, und andere Menschen sehen wollen: Ästhetik. Der Alltag ist schlicht genug, so dass man etwas Besonderes sehen will, wenn man in die virtuelle Welt eintaucht. Jeder arbeitet, geht zur Schule oder zur Uni; das Leben erdrückt uns und wir brauchen ein wenig Ablenkung. Das vermeintlich schöne Leben von anderen Menschen zu betrachten, oder das eigene Leben so darzustellen, kann diese Ablenkung bieten. Und Tatsache ist doch: man will sich immer im besten Licht darstellen. Keiner kann behaupten, dass es nicht so ist. Niemand möchte Bilder posten vom erwärmten Nudelauflauf von vorgestern, und niemand möchte solche Bilder sehen. Das schöne Essen aus dem Restaurant klingt da schon um einiges besser.
Ich hoffe, dass Lesern und Followern klar ist, dass das Bloggerleben nicht so ist, egal was die Instagrambilder und Blogbeiträge zeigen. Mein Leben nicht, und auch das Leben von großen Bloggern, die scheinbar alles erreicht haben, nicht. Die Bilder spiegeln nur einen Bruchteil der Realität wieder und auch Kristina Bazan oder Chiara Ferragni sitzen nicht topgestylt vor ihren Macbooks und tippen ihre Beiträge. Manchmal sollte man den Schein einfach löschen und Dinge so zeigen, wie sie wirklich sind.

Ungeschminkt. Unästhetisch. Echt.

Aber wer will das schon sehen?

A clean room, only having white furniture in it. Fresh flowers every other day. The newest coffe-table book. Freshly manicured nails with a nail polish by Chanel. A perfect breakfast with coffee in a new cup that has an inspring quote one it. The glamorous outfit from the fancy blogger event from the weekend. The list goes on and on but I think you get the point: Bloggers. No matter if Instagram, Twitter, or a blog itself, all the things I just mentioned can be found on those platforms. Everything glitters and shines. We may say it's superficial, but the fact is: we all love it! It's exactly what everyone wants to see. Aesthetics. The everyday life is dull enough on its own, so we want to see something specially when we are in the virtual world. Everybody works, goes to school or university; life can be suffocating and we all need a little diversion sometimes. The alleged perfect lives of others, or us portaying out lives in such a way, can give us that diversion. We want to be seen in the best way possible, no one can deny that. No one wants to see pictures of left-over food that just got heated up in the microwave. We want pictures of luxurious looking food from a restaurant.

I hope people who read blogs and follow certain accounts are aware of the fact that the lives of bloggers are not as they seem on the pictures. My life isn't, and so are the lives of famous bloggers not like that. Those pictures and blog posts are just a tiny fraction of reality and neither Kristina Bazan, nor Chiara Ferragni sit in front of their Macbook wearing full face make-up and fancy clothes when writing their articles. Sometimes we should loose the pretentious act and show things as they really are.
Without make-up. Without aesthetics. Just the reality.

But who wants to see that, right?
